Two days ago Hyakupa released a subtitled video of Sayu on a random variety show. In it, we get to see Sayu's acting skills in full force.
Here's the premise: Sayumi acts as herself (an idol) and is working together with the guy in pink to play a prank on Fujimori (guy in red).
Guy in pink plays the part of a director (of a fake show) that just happens to be a huge wota of Sayumi. It is wota director's job to make the atmosphere as awkward as possible for Fujimori by fanboying over Sayu every chance he gets.
For example, during a production meeting, he pulls out a Sayumi towel and proceeds to wipe his mouth on Sayu's printed-on face.
It's Sayu's job to just act as if she doesn't know what's going on. Together, fake wota director and her do a nice job of convincing Fujimori that it's all real.
Thanks to fake wota director guy doing a great job of creeping Fujimori out (and Sayu brilliantly playing along), the climax of it all happens at the end of the show. To get fake wota director guy to leave her alone, Sayu thinks of a made-up excuse that Fujimori and her are dating. To prove it, fake wota guy asks that Fujimori kisses Sayu.
Download and watch to find out what happens!
But really I highly, highly recommend this video to everyone. It was a ton of fun to watch and I thank Hyakupa for subtitling it.
Man that was funny. I think it's pretty much guaranteed that if Sayu ever leaves Morning Musume, she'll have no problem finding work as a tarento/talento.
ReplyDeleteThat was the most epic thing from Sayumi ever! I loved her acting.
ReplyDeletePoor Fujimori-san, he did not deserve what he got at the end for being such a good guy. It's very sweet, the lengths he went through to keep Sayumi safe.
@tommyvd: Indeed. She already appears on variety shows at an amazing pace. No doubt she'll continue that for her post-Idol career.
ReplyDelete@Hidders: That is pretty much my exact thoughts on this. Get out of my head~
