Mobekimasu's first ever group single earned a weekly #4 and sold 49,429 copies. And the best part is that the promotion isn't even over yet (like the live Niconico stream of their event at Yomiuri land which will be streamed in about 11 hours from now).
The full (well the top 10) Oricon singles chart for the week of the 16th is as follows:
1 172,925 Sexy Zone
2 171,827 Not yet
3 50,478 Acid Black Cherry
4 49,429 Mobekimasu
5 48,912 AAA
6 48,221 GLAY
7 26,333 INFINITE
8 25,691 SKE48 (their 2nd week)
9 17,684 GReeeeN
10 16,235 FUNKY MONKEY BABYS
(and for the 2NE1 fans, they were 12th selling almost 16k)
We just missed outselling Aichan's last Morning Musume single by 100 copies and just missed getting a weekly #3 by 1000 copies.
We may not be elite anymore like AKB and it's sub-units or most Johnny's groups, but we can still be relevant - beating AAA and GLAY and almost beating ABC proves that. I'm so proud of H!P <3

I was really worried when I heard that they was #5 but now I'm very glad that they rose #4!
ReplyDeleteThanks for top 10! I was lookin' for it ^ ^
What a week! Look at how #3 to #6 are really close together.
ReplyDeleteNot yet and Sesy Zone battling it out for number #1 (have to hand it to Johnny's, they still got it), Mobekimasu, Glay, AAA and Acid Black Cherry duking it out day after day.
Release weeks like these are the best. The overall sales for the groups are all good and roughly as expected and most of them are pretty close.
It was an exciting week allround.
YAY FOR SEXY ZONE!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd good for Mobekimasu too (my prediction was correct too!!)
H.B.D. Saki Shimizu
ReplyDeleteSo proud~
ReplyDeleteSo happy they made top 4!
ReplyDeleteThey sold 10K more than I thought, and I couldn't be happier about it!
ReplyDeleteHopefully they will have a strong 2nd week.
X3 YEY! GO H!P!!!!!
ReplyDeleteH!P should be back on top :/ in my opion AKB is only elite b/c they are 1/2 naked in most of their videos ;/
