C-ute - Mezamashi TV 8/15/12 720p

C-ute on the morning news today (in Japan), promoting their new single.

It's very short (45 seconds), but there's a lot happening during the runtime. First is a preview of some of the PV (mainly close-up shots, as seen in the above and below screenshots),

after that is a short comment by C-ute,

and finally, we get to see more of the dance and you'll understand why it's being described as sexy.

Holy crap.

I'll have a review up of the full PV in about an hour.

Berryz Koubou - PON! 7/26/12

Berryz on PON today promoting cha cha SING

Momochi's personality is out in full force in this one.

However, each member was also given 15 seconds to do some personal promotion to appeal themselves to the audience. Captain did a part of the cha cha SING dance, which was cute.

Yurina was like "I'm Berryz Koubou's Sky Tree!" lol. And she also showed off her ear wiggling skills.

Chinami recited a bunch of digits of pi again.

Maasa showed off her charm points (AND REALLY WANTS YOU TO LIKE HER OR ELSE)

Miya is impossibly pretty (and shows off her baton skills).

And finally, Risako does a celeb impression. (Momochi doesn't get a turn because she was dominate at the beginning of the talk lol)

This was truly a good appearance because everyone had time to shine. Berryz fans will definitely enjoy it!

Don't forget the password (and soon I won't remind you guys anymore about it, so just memorize it!).

And you can buy this single if you like it!

Morning Musume - Happy Music 7/6/12 720p HD

A short talk

and live performance of One Two Three.

I love Riho's voice more and more each day. She really sounded good here. (Reina and Riho were actually singing live.)

Quick note about this encode (I didn't encode it): although it's in HD, the quality - especially when the performance kicks in - is a bit choppy.

[TPF] Berryz, Sashihara Rino - Sakigake! 5/2/12 720p

Some of you will recognize this video since I talked highly of it when it first aired. Now we've subtitled it!

If you didn't watch the raw, well basically, AKB member Sashihara Rino is a big H!P and Berryz Koubou fan and so she was really happy when Momoko, Chinami, and Yurina surprised her by randomly showing up to meet her.

They then took on Rino in a karaoke battle, which is what most of this appearance is about.

[TPF+YK] Morning Musume + Fairies - Nakai Masahiro no Black Variety (2012.04.29) 720p

This video features both Morning Musume and Fairies, so it was a natural choice to have TPF's first joint project with YouseiKiss (a Fairies fansubbing group)! You can check out their website here (and they are recruiting new members for their fansub group if you're interested): http://youseikiss.prophpbb.com/

This is part one of a three part TV special for Morning Musume and Fairies (yes, we'll be doing the others too). Because this is the first appearance, there is a lot of self-introduction stuff.

Besides that, Nakai-kun has a good time poking fun at the Morning Musume senpai members (and Yuko).

There are also live performances of Fairies' Beat Generation and Morning Musume's Renai Hunter (both of which are karaoke'd, thanks to YouseiKiss' aaasalvation!).

Part two of this is a lot more interesting since it's a full 20 minutes of talk and no introduction stuff, but this first appearance still has awesome moments.

Now some notes on the video: this TV show is heavy on captions and onscreen kanji and we've left a lot of it untranslated because most of it is literally the same was what is being spoken. Translating and typesetting that would really be a waste of effort. Any new information is fully translated and typeset, as seen here:

There are 3 main types of captions in this TV show: the speech bubble like in the bottom right (things that were already spoken), red text boxes like in the top right (random notes that staff added), and speech bubbles like in the top left (the current topic of discussion). This show loves to put the captions in all corners of the screen (and sometimes in other random places) so prepare to focus your attention in many different places.

Extract the files with 7-zip.

Or you can watch streaming on TPF's website.

Staff involved in this release:
Translation, Karaoke: aaasalvation (from YouseiKiss)
Everything else: airiindeshou (from TPF)

This was certainly a difficult project to take on, but epic appearances like this are always worth it!

Momoko - Hajimete GP 5/5/12 720p

Momoko in a cooking competition.

These three teams

are briefly introduced to three female competitors.

To win, they must correctly guess which of the above girls will make the best looking lion bento lunch, similar to this:

After seeing Momoko do this:

And this (stirring the spaghetti... with spaghetti):

I knew that the odds were against her, but she tried her best I guess lol.

Berryz Koubou & Sashihara Rino on Sakigake! 5/2/12 720p

Momoko, Chinami, Yurina, and Sashihara Rino (an AKB member) appeared on Sakigake! Ongaku Banzuke Eight together a few days ago.

Why? Well apparently Rino is a big H!P & Berryz Koubou fan.

To be more specific, she's a huge Kumai fan and to her surprise Yurina revealed that she still has a letter that Rino wrote to her from way back to the time when Berryz first debuted.

I had no idea who Rino was prior to this show, but she was really cute here. You can tell that she truly is a Berryz (and H!P) fan, as seen by her constant fangirling and her reactions. (Also I love her voice.)

The focus of this episode is a H!P song karaoke battle.

A few seconds of a song is played and whoever runs to the mic first gets the chance to guess the song's title and artist and then must sing a few seconds of the song in order to get credit for a correct response.

This episode was truly entertaining not only because of the karaoke battle, but also because of Rino's genuine love for H!P. I really had fun watching the whole thing.
