After a short recap of part one,

the Morning Musume senpai members are asked to go home because Nakai-kun wants to have a talk with the younger idols about their innocence.

From there, Fairies talks about their school life

and Morning Musume responds to being called similar to AKB.

There are plenty of interesting questions asked and interesting stories told, making this another great appearance.

[TPF+YK] Morning Musume + Fairies - Nakai Masahiro no Black Variety (2012.04.29) 720p

This video features both Morning Musume and Fairies, so it was a natural choice to have TPF's first joint project with YouseiKiss (a Fairies fansubbing group)! This is part one of a three part TV special for Morning Musume and Fairies (yes, we'll be doing the others too). Because this is the first appearance, there is a lot of self-introduction stuff.

Besides that, Nakai-kun has a good time poking fun at the Morning Musume senpai members (and Yuko).

There are also live performances of Fairies' Beat Generation and Morning Musume's Renai Hunter (both of which are karaoke'd, thanks to YouseiKiss' aaasalvation!).

Part two of this is a lot more interesting since it's a full 20 minutes of talk and no introduction stuff, but this first appearance still has awesome moments.

Now some notes on the video: this TV show is heavy on captions and onscreen kanji and we've left a lot of it untranslated because most of it is literally the same was what is being spoken. Translating and typesetting that would really be a waste of effort. Any new information is fully translated and typeset, as seen here:

There are 3 main types of captions in this TV show: the speech bubble like in the bottom right (things that were already spoken), red text boxes like in the top right (random notes that staff added), and speech bubbles like in the top left (the current topic of discussion). This show loves to put the captions in all corners of the screen (and sometimes in other random places) so prepare to focus your attention in many different places.

Morning Musume + Fairies - Nakai Masahiro no Black Variety 4/29/12 720p

Morning Musume and Fairies sharing a talk? No doubt this will be awesome!

After some intro bits about the hosts and Morning Musume and Fairies (yep, Nakazawa is there too),

the talk portion of the show starts with Nakai-kun bantering back and forth with the present Morning Musume senpai members (remember, he used to co-host Utaban).

I really respect Nakai-kun as a host because instead of just listening to the member's self-introductions and giving generic responses, he often has funny things to say and brings out the personality in the girls.

After all of Morning Musume does their self-intros,

it was Fairies' turn.

Of course, since I bought two copies of their debut single, I really like Fairies. They are legitimately great dancers overall and their songs are really catchy, which is apparent in the live performance of their new single, Beat Generation (yes there are live performances in this appearance too).

I really love Beat Generation's dance. It's really fun to watch.

But of course, Morning Musume responds with an equally impressive live performance of Renai Hunter.

After that, the show ends, but not before a preview of the next episode. Between Fairies vs 9th/10th gen karaoke battle (?) in seifuku,

acting,

Riho & Ayumi dancing,

and male host cross-dressing,

I'd say the next episode will be even more epic than this one.
