[TPF] Berryz Koubou - Gekidan Gekiharo Dai 7 "Thank You Very Berry"

A 2 hour (!) Berryz Koubou play that contains the story of two high school chorus clubs competing in a singing competition for 1,000,000 yen.

Yurina, Miyabi, and Chinami are a part of the Marutomi High School Chorus Club and are the underdogs due to lack of experience.

Captain, Risako, and Sano Kaori (an UFA egg) are a part of the elite Benten High School Chorus Club.

Marutomi High starts off strong by doing an unorthodox version of Danny Boy (by singing it in Japanese), which greatly impresses the judges.

As both clubs try to get to the finals, along the way other characters are introduced, like Maasa's.

Seriously even though she isn't really a main character here, Maasa totally stole the show for me. I just loved her character, Hako, and the way she portrayed her. Maasa is such a (beautiful) badass.

[TPF] Buono! - Let's Talk About 10 Clips

Today is the H!P Kids 10 year anniversary so we are releasing a few vids in celebration!

In case you're wondering what this actually is, well, in 2010 Buono! released a PV collection called Buono! Clips Vol. 1. It contained all of their PVs to that point (Honto no Jibun through Our Songs) and also there was some extra footage. One of the extras is this:

For nearly 50 minutes, Buono! watches all 10 of their PVs and comments on them (hence the title of the video).

The things they talk about are pretty random, from their outfits,

to the location,

as well as random stories.

C-ute 2012 Haru Natsu Youtube Concert

Here is C-ute's concert that was streamed on Youtube earlier!

I'm not going to do a total review (at least not now; too tired. Check my twitter for ramblings) but let me say this: it. was. awesome.

In the first part of the concert, there were quite a few nice dance related moments, including member dance solos in Kachoii uta.

For the solo corners, Maichan performed Yuke Genki-kun (with a guitar as a prop),

Maimi performed Shock (in a really hot outfit),

Chisato performed Tokai no Neon ga Odoroku Kurai Utsukushisa ga Hoshii,

Nakky did Kagayake Houkago,

and Airi's was Bishoujo Shinri.

They also brought back the flags once again.

And Dance de Bakoon! is still hot.

Airi did an acapella opening for Seishun Song.

And Berryz made a surprise performance because of Berikyuu's 10 year anniversary today and together Berikyuu received a cake and performed Chou Happy Song.

Also, the staging was really cool. At one point even fire was involved.

About this encode: the quality isn't very good because, well, that's how it looked on the stream. Also, Youtube decided it would be a good time to buffer right in the middle of Airi's solo so there is about 15 seconds of that missing. Also, I named the file incorrectly (it's Haru Natsu, not Natsu Aki; that's what happens when you encode without sleep). Finally, you can hear Skype IM sounds a few times through the video because I was talking to someone while watching and forgot to turn that volume down.

[ADDP] C-ute Alo-Hello 2 donations still needed!

It releases in 2 weeks and we still need 4000yen in order to afford the Blu-ray or 2100yen more for the normal DVD.

Donate now (send donations to airiindeshou@gmail.com) if you can! I can add about 2500yen, so we can now afford the normal DVD, but if you want to see this in Blu-ray quality we need a bit more!

[TPF] Ousama Game 720p HD

The final release for our 1 year anniversary special is the Berikyuu movie, Ousama Game (in HD)!

Ousama Game is technically a horror film, but unlike so many films of that genre that rely on cheap scares and tricks to entertain, Ousama Game's draw is in its story (it is based on a novel, after all). There are a few twists so I'll keep this post spoiler free because the movie is much more enjoyable that way. However, I will do a quick overview of the story so those who are unfamiliar will know at least the basics.

A high school class (containing the Berryz and C-ute members, Morisaki, and a few other familiar faces like Sakurada Dori [the guy from Suugaku Joshi Gakuen] and Yossie as the teacher) one day received a mysterious text message forcing them to play an Ousama Game ("King's Game"), instructing two classmates to do a seemingly harmless random task. The text's origins are unknown, so everyone takes it as a joke, until people start dying.

Watch as Yurina (playing the lead role of Honda Chiemi) and the rest of the class struggle to solve the mystery known as Ousama Game before it's too late.

For me, Gomennasai is definitely the better horror movie, but Ousama Game is a great movie in its own right, for its suspense and the wonderful ride that it takes the viewers on as they try to unravel the mystery behind it all. As a Hello! Project fan, of course I get extra enjoyment out of seeing the Berikyuu members act in various roles (almost all of which are quite different from their normal personalities). With that said, I think everyone did a fine job in the roles they were called upon to do.

[TPF] H!P DVD Magazine Vol. 29

This DVD Magazine was sold at the H!P 2012 Winter concerts, so it was the first real concert for the new members who jointed H!P and so this video is all about them.

We get a look at some of the many practices the new members took part in to learn the setlist,

Tsunku's comments about the girls,

their instructors' comments,

and comments from the girls themselves.

If you're interested in any of the new Morning Musume (9th and 10th Gen), or S/mileage members, you'll certainly find enjoyment watching their journey to the H!P 2012 Winter Concerts.

[TPF] HelloPro! TIME Vol. 1

This is volume 1 of the DVD release of HelloPro! TIME. It contains the first three episodes plus there is bonus never before seen footage from those episodes. The first segment is footage from the Ai wa Katsu charity event.

Then fun during a S/mileage's rehearsal for their collab concert with C-ute.

Maimi takes us into her home and shows off her dogs.

Risa plays a karaoke battle game with 9th gen (who, at the time, were pretty new to Morning Musume).

Sleepy S/mileage before an event in Osaka.

Momoko at an outdoors photoshoot.

And finally, Berryz in Seattle for Sakura-con.
