Huge CDJapan package GETs

So today I received a huge package from CDJapan. It's definitely the biggest since the large Aichan graduation CD order I made last year.

As you can see above, I got a ton of awesome stuff! Starting with Berryz, I bought two versions of Be Genki and received two posters (the green tubes above) as a result.

The CDs themselves are pretty cool too. It's basically a Berryz version of the superman logo.

And the poster. Their poses are cool~

Close up~

Moving on to C-ute, I got each member's solo version of Kimi wa Jitensha (I opened Airi's version, which is why it looks slightly different).

Anddd the backs.

Finally, I ordered three copies of Renai Hunter.

The CDs for Renai Hunter are cool too.

You guys have no idea how excited I was to open this package to reveal all of the awesomeness (well Chobi does). There's just something so wonderfully amazing (and nerdy) about holding all of those things in my hands, which is why I always push for people to buy physical copies of singles (if possible).

I wonder how soon it will be before I place another giant order like this~

New CDs!

I've been holding out on buying H!P CDs for a while, so today I got a large package from CDJapan full of CDs, yay!

As you can see, I bought six CDs. S/mileage's Tachiagaaru and Please Miniskirt Postwoman, Kikkawa Yuu's Konna Watashi de Yokattara (that song and PV is awesome BTW), and Buono!'s co no mi chi, and the regular + limited edition of Hatsukoi Cider/DEEP MIND. Now I have every Buono! single and I just need two of their albums to complete their discography (Airiindeshou trivia: Buono! is my favorite H!P group).

I already have the Tachiagaaru poster above, but CDJapan amazingly still had a few of them left over and since the single is only 500yen, I couldn't pass up getting another one. I also got another poster in this package - Please Miniskirt Postwoman, seen below.

Bekimasu CD GET

When I heard that the new Berryz/C-ute/Manoeri/S/mileage song would get a CD release, I knew I had to have it. Whether it's Aichan's Yume Kara Samete, C-ute's Akuma de Kyuuto, or Manoeri's indies singles, there's something about special releases, that makes them irresistible to me.

And now onto pics!

C-ute + S/mileage joint concert DVD GET

DVD ISOs are rarer and rarer nowadays, so I decided to buy three of H!P's newest concerts, starting with C-ute and S/mileage's joint concert from earlier this year.

My first towel! (HSU GET)

I've always wanted a towel, but just didn't want to pay $40 + shipping (or more, if buying directly from Japan) for one. That's where HSU came into play. If you didn't already know, HelloStoreUSA has this sale going on until July 25th where some items are as much as 50% off!

They have a handful of towels on sale for 32% off (for $30), including (almost) all of the Berryz towels from their 2010 summer concert tour. The only one they didn't have? Captain's. Just my luck. So, I went with the second best thing - a Miya towel! I also bought a photoset while I was at it.

Above you'll see both of the things that I bought - Miya's towel still unopened and a Haggy Dance Special photoset.

Epic CDJapan package is here

Way back in February I ordered/pre-ordered a bunch of new releases together. This package was scheduled to arrive last month, but due to singles being delayed, it didn't come until today.

CDJapan packages always come wrapped in nice green squishy paper.

And here is a quick look at everything I got.

Eripon's autograph is now mine!

I started off being indifferent to her, but I've really been liking Ikuta Erina lately. I saw an autographed Eripon Maji Desu ka Ska! poster for sale and I knew I had to buy.

The poster itself is really nice, but Erina's autograph makes it even more awesome.

My picture collection part one

This is the final part of my collection. I have already photographed my CDs and my DVDs and here are my photocards. This post will mostly contain Aichan photos because that is what the bulk of my collection is made of. I was a huge Aichan fan from 2008-2010 until Airi took over the top idol spot in my ranking.

First you get to look at one of the actual albums that some of the photocards are located in.

I'm not going to comment on every single picture, so enjoy.

My Hello! Project DVD Collection

Last year I showed you my Hello! Project CDs in two parts and left photographing my DVDs and official photocards for another day. Well, that day is today, for the DVDs at least. I have at least 500 photocards so they will have to wait.

I'll start with my concerts that came in normal sized DVD cases (you'll see what the alternative looks like later).

H!P Concerts. All three are FC DVDs and all three are some of my favorite concerts of all time.

Dance de Bakoon! Autograph

A couple of weeks ago I treated myself to an early birthday/Christmas present and the goods arrived today. I bid on and (obviously) won two Dance de Bakoon! posters at Yahoo! Japan Auctions (the Japanese equivalent to eBay).

First is a normal Bakoon! poster.

Akuma de Kyuuto, Campus Life, Bakoon, and Aitai singles help hold down the fort
But the real star is the signed Bakoon! poster.

My second ever HelloStoreUSA order

Thanks to Raffi, I was reminded of HSU's Black Friday sale before it ended and was able to make it out with a couple of nice photosets.

When HSU was first announced sometime last year, I had my doubts about it. Sure, I was happy, but I just expected it to be an American version of CDJapan or Yesasia - a site that offers H!P CDs and DVDs for sale to foreign fans. And I'm not saying that's bad; it just wasn't something that made me ecstatic since I had been buying that stuff from Japanese stores for years.

This is one of the times where I am glad that I was wrong. HSU offers so much more than CDs and DVDs. They have things like member T-shirts, towels, and DVD Magazines, which aren't even sold in regular Japanese stores. Instead of an "American CDJapan", they are more like an official American UFA store, which is quite awesome.

This is only my second purchase (well, third if you count buying a CD from JapanFiles) and oddly enough, both times I've bought photosets.

Now before I actually begin with the photocards, I'd just like to say that my post office is ghetto.

The package arrived torn at the bottom, which was taped up with some dirty tape. Thanks post office. >_>

Fortunately nothing was damaged. Good job HSU with the packaging.

Anyway, here is my first ever Melon Kinenbi photocards. Masae is pretty cool and they were only $1 for the set (they are 2L size), so it was an easy decision.

The only other 2L sized photos that I ordered. I don't really like photos this big because they have to go in a bigger folder, separate from all of my other photos due to the size. But still, the Maichan photo on the right is my favorite of the bunch.

Next is a Buono! Bravo Bravo set.

I'm also not really a fan of those horizontal photos because when I put them in my photoalbum, I have to turn the album sideways to view them properly. But I'm not really complaining. It's pretty much the only way to have a group shot.

Manoeri time. I'm liking the pink backgrounds. It's a nice change from the usual white.

Shock Cutie Circuit photos part one. My three favorites~

The rest of the set.

And finally, here is an alternative Shock Cutie Circuit set with them wearing the single outfits, part one.

The others. Not really liking Maimi's hair in this one. I like her short hair, but this particular style is too boyish for my tastes.

And that's it. The total cost with shipping was $21 for 6 photosets (24 photos total). That's a pretty amazing deal considering I paid $9 shipped for three zoku v-u-den photos when HSU first launched.

Now I just need a S/mileage photoset to have at least one photo of all of the current H!P members.

The biggest CD purchase I've made in three years

A couple of months ago CD Japan had a pretty awesome sale where if you spent more than 5000 yen (can't remember the exact number) at their online store, you got free shipping (in order to celebrate their new shipping method - FedEx International Express).

Now that may not sound like much, but most websites that offer free shipping ships it by the slowest method possible. I'm talking about shipping, that when shipped, takes so long to get to your house you completely forgot you ordered it when it does arrive. This wasn't the case with CD Japan's sale. They allowed you to pick any shipping method you wanted, for free. Naturally, I chose the most expensive (and therefore fastest) method - FedEx International Express.

I've had my quirks with FedEx in the past (I'm more of UPS guy), but this package was delivered in record time. CD Japan shipped it on the 29th and it got to my house around 9 AM today, the 30th. Also keep in mind that this package had to go all the way from Japan to the United States East coast. Talk about fast.

Anyway, onto the CDs

8 awesome singles
I bought mainly new releases so I could finally catch up with the singles I missed out on buying when they released.

Obviously one of those singles isn't Hello! Project, so we'll take a closer look at that one first.

Perfume's VOICE single
I very rarely buy non-H!P CDs these days (being broke 99% of the time contributes to that), but I fell in love with both songs on Perfume's 11th single.

The A-Side (VOICE)

The B-side (575).

Now onto Hello! Project.

S/mileage's Ganbaranakutemo ee nende!!

Manoeri's Genkimono de Ikou!
Risako/Ogawa Mana Anime single
The Oshare My Dream (Ogawa Mana) and Elegant Girl (Sugaya Risako) double A-side single is one of my favorites of the bunch. Originally I loved the Ogawa Mana song more, but recently Elegant Girl has been growing on me.

Also, I am now in love with Ogawa Mana's voice after hearing Oshare My Dream.

Eri, Junjun, and Linlin's last single
If you look closely in the very first picture in this post, you'll notice something on top of Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game.

For buying (pre-ordering?) from CD Japan, I got a small photocard. Awesome.

Kaiten Zushi

The back is awesome. Eri and Linlin especially looks great.

Inside
Finally onto C-ute.

Campus Life
Aitai Lonely Christmas
Inside Aitai

With Campus Life and Aitai Lonely Christmas, I finally have every C-ute single, including their six indies singles. Now all I need is five of their albums to have all of their CDs.
