[TPF] HelloPro! TIME Episode 40

Another one~

The main focus of this episode is an unexpected Miya/Maasa/Chisa date (you'll see why it's unexpected by watching).

They go to visit the newly finished Tokyo Skytree,

and eat at a restaurant Miyabi has wanted to go to for a while.

It's probably just me but I swear this episode has quite a bit of hilarious sexual innuendo throughout

lol, moving along, the other third of this episode follows S/mileage's antics behind the scenes of the Choto Mate Kudasai PV making.

H!P 2012 Winter ~Rock-chan~ & ~Funky-chan~

Someone encoded the regular DVDs so that means we can finally see the rest of the songs on the setlist! I did a short review of the TV version that you can read in the other post. These are the same concerts, just with the performances that were edited out from the TV broadcast.

For me, Glass no Pumps is still my favorite, even after seeing the solos and the other performances that were omitted from the TV broadcast. The performance is seriously flawless, just like the members who performed it. Among the not-previously-seen performances, Kikka's Konna Watashi de Yokattara stood out the most to me. Although she was a good singer even back when she auditioned, being in the Eggs for so long seems to have paid off for her a lot because she's improved immensely. If she was a H!P member right now, she'd definitely be near the top of the list of best singers. I also loved 9th gen's Seishun Collection even though I'm not too fond of the song.

Also, during one of the Rock-chan MCs, there was an English writing skills competition. Four members had to change a bunch of katakana vocabulary words into English. Reina failed the hardest:

S/mileage - Dot Bikini PV

Yesterday, the full Dot Bikini music video was uploaded to the S/mileage Youtube channel!

The PV begins with DAWA listening to the sound of the ocean through a seashell.

And from there, the titled polka dot bikinis are revealed

and the weird dancing begins.

Like seriously, there are a bunch of dance moves in this PV that made me go "lolwut?", but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's definitely memorable, at least.

As always in S/mileage PVs, the close-up portion is full of random moments,

and overall fun.

The thing that I like the most about this PV is that it fits the song really well and that's all I can really ask for.

It's also quite quirky (which fits S/mileage well),

and leaves a lasting impression (on me at least), making me want to watch again.

I also like the song itself, which is pretty rare because I'm normally not fond of summery songs. But, I'm always a sucker for catchy songs that stick in your head long after you're done listening to them and Dot Bikini does just that. I've been overwhelmingly happy with everything H!P has produced lately and Dot Bikini only adds to the awesomeness.

[TPF] HelloPro! TIME Episode 35 (subbed)

Here is episode 35, which is entirely about S/mileage!

The majority of this episode focuses on Ayaka, Yuuka, and Kanon's trip to the Fuji-Q Highlands theme park, in order to create one last memory before Yuuka graduated. They went on scary rides,

to a haunted house,

saw Mt. Fuji in the distance,

and ended the day going on a ferris wheel in pairs to talk to Yuuka one-on-one.

There is also some very brief footage of the new members practicing by themselves for the H!P 2012 Winter concerts.

Yep, the whole disc. By now you know the drill. All of the PVs are 1280x720, but only the last few PVs are in true HD; the earlier PVs are just upscales (though they still look pretty decent).
